Textures

Here are the four diffuse texture maps for the character.

A closer look at his obsidian club type weapon

I am thinking about adding some teal paint splatters on him because I was thinking that maybe the warriors he was fighting had teal battle paint but I'm not sure if that would be too much.

  1. This guy is looking fantastic. I especially like his accessories. Even though the entire model is shiny, I kind of like it. Perhaps you could add a specular map on your character that dulls out the clothing but keeps that glossy sheen on the top of his head.

  2. I really don't have any critiques Buddy, looks awesome! I really get a trial feel from the textures....yeah looks great, no sure what I would improve. Maybe just look at dirty clothing images just to make sure that the grunge looks right, not to say it doesn't look right, but it might give some ideas to further give realism.

  3. Wow, this is looking great so far. All that I can say is that from listening to your presentation in class, it is clear that you are putting a lot of thought and passion into your texturing work. Keep it up because it is paying off!

  4. I agree with dennis though if the cloth is silk you could leave it shiny in places where it's clean, the stained parts could stand for some dulling though.

  5. Great job! i love his color scheme. I also love how efficiently you have used the texture space. Is the red suppose to be body paint or skin tight cloth?
