I have not gotten into unwrapping yet. Here is what I have so far for my base model as well as the head that I just started modeling. I'm taking suggestions on how to do the wings.
I'd like you to post the wierframe somewhere so I can take a look at it. As it is, there are some issues you should address such as the crotch and armpits; they almost look webbed. I would also strongly suggest changing the legs so they look like a birds, it just has a strange composition when they are like that, makes me think that it is just a suit the person is weating instead of actually being part bird.
I don't think I can offer much more than what Winston said. I don't really do character, but those areas he mentioned do need some work. Video tutorials on how other people model might help as well. Just sit down sometime and just watch people model, then try to replicate.

ReplyDeleteI would just advise more time be placed into it. Don't be afraid to rent a book or a DVD for reference.
ReplyDeleteWhat Buddy said, and also I think the knees are a bit knobby for his posture.
ReplyDeleteIf you're going for more birdlike feet than human feet, here are a couple reference images to get the shape down a bit more.

Modelling along with a reference image up on your adjacent screen is an excellent way to work.

ReplyDeletegreat start, you have a few kinks we'd need a wireframe to offer good suggestions on but it's not too bad.
