Sci-Fi Cruiser Base Mesh

Some shots of my Sci-Fi Cruiser. It's still in a very rough state, as I spent a good amount of time experimenting. It's still not progressing to a state that I'm happy with, and I'm considering scraping this mesh and starting it over.

  1. as far as a start goes it looks nice, i can see a few minor issues but i think you should stick with it, it can be fixed, and starting over may hinder you more than you would want.

  2. If you feel you want to start over do so, but it's not bad for a start and just for a base mesh. Try to just keep working with it. Most of the models I do I always feel like I am not doing very good, but when I stick with them they eventually start to take shape.

  3. It would be nice to break up that really ridged form with some more detail. The composition is pretty flat and makes it blocky looking.

  4. Its starting to come along, still needs much work but its getting there.

  5. The front of the ship looks like the dip in the middle is smoothed at the bottom but hard corners nearing the top. Looks cool right now, add tons of interesting details in the high poly.

  6. No need to start over, it's looking good so far. Whatever you think doesn't fit, fix it manually.

  7. The aft section needs some indication of propulsion, e.g. and engine. Also depending whether this ship can enter and exit planet atmospheres, you may want to consider reenforcing the four wing things to prevent them from tearing off during entry.

  8. Looks nice though I thought it would look a bit less blocky from you perspective drawing on your concept art
