Deck

I've unwrapped the deck of the ship. There are far too many objects to upload the unwrap for, so here is the checker pattern for the vehicle's deck. A lot of the stretched areas will be tiled several times in UDK.

  1. Looking good. I think the bottom is a little flat, though. If this is an aerial ship, I would assume it has to land somehow so there would need to be a compartment for the landing gears and such.

    The unwrap is probably going to be as "fun" as my train lol. Good luck with that! Also, I hope you instanced those columns so you don't have to individually unwrap all six.

  2. It's certainly coming along! I like that some detail got put into the pillars. I really only have the same suggestion as Dennis...the bottom seems flat. What exactly is the bottom going to be like...a boat?...or gears for landing? Just thoughts to keep in mind.

  3. This is looking great, almost looks like an Egyptian boat or something with the columns looking the way that they do. Its kinda hard to see the detail with the texture on it like that.

  4. The model is looking cool. I am a little worried about the size of some of those UVs. As you're aware you will probably be getting some texture stretching, primarily on the last picture. I am wondering if you have solved the problem that we had talked about previously.
