  1. Once you get the model to a point where you have the basic form down, make sure all the edge normals are hard and soft where they should be. It will make it mechanical looking like its made from metal or something.

  2. Looking good so far. Nice and simple. I really like the turn around video. Don't be afraid to use separate objects for different components.

  3. The model is currently 4 different parts, i just had to combined them for the turnaround. Seeing as how the ship is suppose to break apart making it of many pieces is a given.

  5. It's looking very nice. I can't wait to see what's inside. From the outside it looks mostly mechanical, even if it is more organically shaped. So I would like to see a lot of organic forms inside....roots, bulging sacs, whatever...i know that's all cliche, but just something that almost breathes.

  6. Looks good. Not much I can say besides continue adding the detail in the back and then start on the higher poly version.

  7. it looks good, but I see almost no organic influence from the outside maybe a texture would make it more apparent but as it stands there's almost nothing to say it's a living ship, maybe add some veins/roots going out around the hull.

  8. Off to a good start, although, like many have said, it looks more rigid than organic at this point.
