Here is an update of my armor with some smoother details. I wanted to have a normal map of the zBrush mesh applied to the base mesh, but unfortunately I am still having issues with creating and laying out the UVs for the armor. So my goal for the week is to get those UVs done!
Looking great. I'm loving the High Poly.
ReplyDeleteIf you need help UV mapping I can provide assistance with Maya mapping. Just find me in the commons on Mondays after 5:30pm.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you fixed the harshness in some of your high poly details. Looks a lot better.
Some of your pieces still look pretty plain, such as your shin guards and bracers. Try sculpting in some sort of design or perhaps keep with your current style and add a small inset to the surface.
The detail looks much nicer all smoothed out. Just keep adding detail, this armor would look awesome with really meticulous detail in there.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Buddy. The detail in there would be nice. It is already an interesting cartoony concept. With enough detail and a good enough texture map I can envision this being a cool cartoon character for a short film or something.
ReplyDelete^ agreed
ReplyDeleteLooking good so far.
ReplyDeletei like to color and the extruded edges. It gives it a nice finishing look. Don't be afraid to give it dings and scratches.
