Normals

I only made 2 normal maps out of the just because the other two maps aren't anything but pipes and don't really have any more visible detail then the low poly.

  1. This is looking awesome so far especially for a low poly model. I think the detail of your first one will translate well into this one. What are the different texture maps that you are going to apply to the model in the end?

  2. Thanks for the feedback. These are the maps I plan on using, these are the maps I use for most models:

    Diffuse
    Normal
    Specular
    Ambient Occlusion

    For my next weeks I plan on going back to my textures 2nd pass and creating all of these maps that still need to be created.

  3. looks good. the ripchord on the motor seems a bit out of the way but its a tank so its worth the trouble to start right? lol

  5. Looks like you're having a much better time with baking normals than I am. Your wheel hub caps baked perfectly.

    I guess if it's not noticeable, you won't have to go back and fix the normals.
