Yeah i restarted the entire thing using the ships of Home-world 2 as an inspiration. I was able to find the models themselves and look them over, adapting the way that theses pro modelers build their ships in order to make my own. This is very low poly, under 550 faces currently, and i really like how it is coming out.
It's coming along! Just be sure to pick something and stick with it or you might fall behind. It looks good for this stage though.

ReplyDeleteI like this design much better than the other one although I did like the idea of mechanical and organic aspects mixing together, I just played the Infamous 2 demo and the boss creature you fight in it was a great and creative way of blending the two together:

to me that seems more like it is organic with an organic, insect like carapace.
