I promised I would have an update on my ship by the end of the week. Here is the final polygonal model of my ship. I am going to convert the mesh to a sub-d surface and begin detailing this weekend.
Also, I have been told that the ship is looking too generic. Does anyone think that?
This is looking much better. I think the more intricate the detail gets, the more interesting it looks especially when it comes to mechanical objects. You should keep on adding detail wither in something like zbrush or in maya/ max.
It's looking better. It's not too bad at all. I don't think it is looking too generic looking, looks like a ship to me. The only thing I would really do is adjust the smoothing at some parts. Some pieces might look a little too pieced together.
