Old zbrush of the blightfiend just to show how i'll be starting on it
the most recent retopologization of the mesh finally added the plates on the tail and some teeth.
I'm still not happy with the face it looks like a stupid puppy rather than an nightmarish beast :\

  1. I can see you changed your base mesh around. I like the addition to the tail and the face has great detail. I like the shape of the horns.

I don't know how far you've gotten with your high poly sculpt, but from the screenshots it mostly looks like it was subdivided a few times without much detail added in. I can see a little bit of definition on the legs, but the tail, back, and face lacks detail (from what I can see).

Like Lynn said, the rest of the semester is just fluff. Keep up the pace and your model is sure to look great.

  2. I think you have the form down but if your not happy with the face you should go back and re structure it, using references of more ferocious animals like a growling wolf or something because I agree, it does look more like a puppy at this point.

  3. It looks good for its current state. The models look good, just try to tweak the face until you're happy then get started on the other maps, just don't fall too far behind.

  4. Perhaps the muscles over the eyes should be contracted to make it look scarier, so you could try messing around with that as a test to see how it will eventually look when animated.
