unwrapped

Haven't had much time to work on it but i got it unwrapped and fixed some of the edge flow on the face.

  1. You should try unwrapping individual parts and combining them after like each leg and the tail, torso, head and so on. The way you are doing it now will have a lot of stretching and obviously that seam going right through the middle of his face.

  2. I really can only suggest what winston did. Unwrap each piece then weld the verts together so it will get rid of the seam Since it goes right down the top of his face it might be quite visible if the texture isn't exact on both sides.

  3. You may want to consider breaking the tail from the body. This will give you about twice as much potential detail in your UV map.

Remember to use UV space wisely; waste as little as possible.

  4. Yeah do it piece by piece so your uv map can be smaller.

  5. I agree with Buddy, try to split the mapping up it will really help with the texturing in the end.
